The intimacy of the photos in this gallery is the opposite end of the spectrum from the wide open spaces in other galleries. It's easy to ignore beauty in small form when presented with larger vistas, but the opportunity to capture natural still life images is just as rewarding as bringing home the "big" pictures. I often think it is harder to preserve these small landscapes, because they tend to be fleeting in comparison with the rocks and rivers of my larger landscapes; the effort is worth it to bring their charms back from the Wild.
